The Surviving of the Chinese Opera

The traditional Chinese Opera is a dying performing arts. It lost its attraction and glamour. With the advent of new entertainment from the electronic and other kind of media, this traditional arts appeals to the older generation only. The younger generations are more attracted to the electronic media. The lack of historical and theatrical knowledge plays an important role in the lost of interest and popularity of this art. This research intends to study on the philosophical and basic concepts of the Chinese Opera to be implemented in the 3D-animation . The research also covers the compatibility of the Chinese Opera into 3D-animation. Finally, these understandings are used to create a simplified the art to be appreciated by the public. Other studies will also be conducted within the topic of characterization, set, gestures and special effects for the Chinese Opera. In the same time, the essence of the Chinese Opera would not be amended.
